Choices is better with sound! To check your sound settings:

While you have a Book open, tap the gear icon in the upper right corner of the screen to open Settings. Make sure that the Audio button is set to ON.

You should also make sure that your device is not muted by checking the sound toggle on the left side of your device. Also make sure that the volume on your device is turned up.
